Después de una primera parte que recoge los trabajos de investigación más recientes, se presenta el esquema básico de la intervención, ilustrado con la descripción de casos clínicos y con ejemplos de producción lingüísticas característicos de las distintas formas que adopta este trastorno de las propias estructuras del aprendizaje del lenguaje.
En El Niño que habla, Marc Monfort y Adoración Juárez abordaron la intervención pedagógica en el desarrollo normal del lenguaje oral.
Siguieron su reflexión metodológica en Estimulación del lenguaje oral (Entha), ofreciendo un modelo aplicable a los niños con dificultades.
En esta tercera obra se centran en una patología especialmente grave como es la disfasia, donde se pueden observar las alteraciones más específicas y donde se ponen a prueba la eficacia de los métodos logopédicos.
